Sandisk Release pSSD Flash, The Good of Harddisk

Company renowned storage, Sandisk has released memory SSD (Solid State Disk) Flash-based next generation, which is designed to be used in netbook. SSD drives pSSD P2 and S2 are also shown at the Computex event in Taipei, and Sandisk promises that this device will support the performance computer, but keep the price competitive.

Meanwhile, a report from the analysis company IDC predicted that there will be increasing sales ntbook from 11.5 million in the year ago to 50 million in 2013. While hoping that the Sandisk drive pSSD P2 and S2 will help sales in the SSD market a new category developed.

Sandisk SSD drive pSSD P2 and S2 this nCache use technology that provides non-volatile cache up to 320MB for the support to write at random, and help reduce the vibration of the first generation SSD netbook. NCache especially because this is a non-volatile, the temporary data that already exists in the hard disk can recover the power and menginterupsi moment.

"Device Sandisk SSD drive pSSD P2 and S2 is able to write a number of large data quickly using the size of the transfer of small random data. Sandisk SSD drive pSSD this can have a random write performance up to 50 times than in our first generation SSD. "Said Doreet Oren, director of product marketing at Sandisk.

Meanwhile, Sandisk engineer has been working with Canonical, the Linux-based operating system Ubuntu, and the ARM chip to optimize performance and power consumption when used together. "Test shows that our second-generation SD Sandisk pSSD is better than hard drive speed of 5.400 rpm, providing the speed and stability for Ubuntu users." Pillowslip Chris Kenyon, director of original equipment manufacturer services at Canonical. Drive SSD drive Sandisk pSSD P2 and S2 will be present with a capacity of 4GB up to 64GB, though for a price not yet available
