Microsoft is prohibited to sell software office applications Word?

Prohibition applies to the U.S. because of legal action from the company's Texas home, i4i. I4i company is a software company who supply the XML Word and then assert that Microsoft has violated patent rights in 1998 the number 5,787,499. Microsoft has been prosecuted for allowing customers to read the XML programming language to do the customization document format. XML language included in Microsoft Word where the user can then read and write XML documents.

Meanwhile, in March 2007, i4i have entered a claim, and in May this year, U.S. distric court for eastern district of Texas, the company found that Microsoft is in Redmond bermarkas guilty to violation of these patent rights and give fines to Microsoft for $ 200 million (£ 122 million). Now the results of the same decision the court has determined that Microsoft must stop selling Word in 60 days.

Until now, Microsoft has not provided any comment. However, according to the Microsoft blog The Seattle PI, Microsoft spokesman Kevin Jutz reveal that many believe the evidence that has been shown, that indicates that Microsoft is not guilty, and the right i4i patent is invalid. To that end, Microsoft will ask the appeal court decision on it.
