How Do I Improve the Booting Speed of My PC?
Because all applications you install after the successful installation of Windows operating system register themselves to load with the Windows load resulting in increased boot time. They are programmed to load with the Windows to enhance the user experience. For example an adobe reader agent get loaded in background to help you open any PDF files faster, but what when you are not going to open the PDF file for a day or week? Would you like that the background process keep consuming resources of your computer? Here is the solution.
Once you have installed all the applications after installation of Windows XP, Vista Or Windows 7, you can disable unwanted application from loading at boot time from the "System Configuration Utility".
How to open "System Configuration Utility"?
Go to start -> run -> and type "msconfig", -> enter (Click ok). -> select 'start up' tab and uncheck the applications that you do not want to load at the boot time.
You can also disable background services like 'print spooler' if not using printer with your PC. To disable service you can go to services control panel by typing 'services.msc' at start -> run.
If you have already done above settings and still you are facing slow boot speed issues, the doubt goes to the virus and spy ware infection in your computer. You must clean your PC using following ways for fastest boot time and fastest performance.
• Clean registry using any free registry cleaner tool.
• Clean Windows temp files and recycle bin.
• Clean your computer for possible virus infection by using any good and latest anti-virus software.
• Try to free up some space by deleting un-necessary and bulky files from your root system drive (C drive in most computers).
• Use disk De-fragment tool from Window's native system tools to periodically arrange your hard disk data to make theme accessible faster.
If you have been using your system since quite a long time, there are chances that your hard disk needs DE-fragmentation. De-fragmenting the system drive will help you to improve both system performance and boot time of your PC.
